Sign and Semiotics

Sign: It has multiple meanings for example: signs are ideas that we get from something, these ideas can be transmitted through verbal communication, gestures, draws, etc. It is an indication for example the traffic signs, the gesture to call someone with our hands is a sign too, for this reason we can say that signs are indications because they allow us to understand a command. A sign is the result that we have when the signifier and the signified mix in an whole for example:

Semiotics: Is the study of how we can use signs in life, how they sometimes speak without words through the meaning that it carries. Also it is how they behave while using them in society which include the fact that not for all the people a sign will mean the same thing. It is to study how we create meaning and how we share it through signs and how is the process to understand signs.
